Destination Imagination 2018-19

LMS has four Destination Imagination teams this year (more than ever before!) and each team is required to have two appraisers.  Curious about DI?  Check this out.  We are in desperate need of help!  Please contact Amber Foulk if you are interested in volunteering to be a DI appraiser.

?What is an Appraiser

volunteer who goes through our comprehensive training is called an appraiser. This person will volunteer on the day of the Regional Tournament. Every team is required to provide two appraisers.

The appraiser will be trained for a specific role and help with a specific Challenge. The volunteer might score teams introduce them, process their paperwork, help in the score room, or usher teams to their sites. Appraisers should watch for an email from Heart of Texas Appraiser Coordinator with directions on how to register.  The registration is a two step process, so please follow all .directions carefully. Online registration must be completed before January 18.

What are the requirements?

  • be at least 18 years old
  • no longer be in high school
  • attend a three-hour training
  • be available from 7am-5pm on tournament day
  • team managers cannot be appraisers
  • enjoy working with kids and being silly (wearing silly hats and costumes)

When is the training?

Training date is Saturday, February 2

Please contact Amber Foulk or Veronica Larson if you are willing to appraise for our 6-8th grade DI teams this year.

Thank you!
